Horus Mobile installation and setup help

This guide covers the first steps to install Horus Mobile, access the correct environment, and enable the permissions the app needs for normal operation.

Before you begin

Make sure you have:

  • The official download link or the exact app name.
  • Your username, password, and assigned environment.
  • A stable internet connection over Wi-Fi or mobile data.
  • Permission to enable notifications and, if needed, camera access.

Step 1. Download the application

Install Horus Mobile from the store or link provided by your organization. If you received a direct installer, confirm that it comes from the official channel before opening it.

  • Confirm the app name and icon with your administrator.
  • If the device blocks the installation, use the approved procedure for your device.

Step 2. Sign in

Open the application and enter the credentials provided for your operation. If your deployment works with more than one environment, select the correct one before continuing.

  • Check capitalization and extra spaces when copying credentials.
  • If your installation uses a specific URL or domain, enter it exactly as provided.

Step 3. Grant permissions

Allow notifications so you can receive alerts and events. If the workflow requires scanning, evidence capture, or visual validation, enable camera access as well.

  • Make sure notifications are allowed in both foreground and background.
  • Review battery saving settings to confirm they are not blocking alerts.

Step 4. Verify the operating environment

Once you are inside, confirm that you can see the cameras, groups, locations, or functions expected for your profile. That check confirms that your user is attached to the correct instance.

  • If cameras or locations are missing, request a permissions review.
  • Open a view or event to validate connectivity and data loading.

If something is not working

  • If you cannot sign in, verify your username, password, and assigned environment.
  • If you do not receive alerts, review notifications and battery restrictions.
  • If cameras or functions are missing, the issue is usually profile permissions.
  • If the app does not load correctly, update it or reinstall it from the official source.

Support

If the issue continues, share your phone model, operating system version, app version, and a screenshot of the observed error with your administrator.
